Sock and Underwear Drive

The past school year may just have ended, but it is time already to think about helping less fortunate students put their best selves forward in the new school year. Once again, Holy Spirit parishioners have a chance to donate new packages of socks and underwear to the Gary Turbak Memorial Back to School Clothing Project. Donors can put their purchases that will fit children ages 4-12 in a plastic bin on the porch outside the church office. The collection will begin on Sunday, June 26 and conclude on Sunday, July 24.
In August, St. Paul invites families referred by local social service agencies to stop by a “store” in its church basement filled with donated and purchased items organized by size. Last year, nearly 400 children each received a pair of jeans, a top, a package of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes. Every donation of new socks and underwear helps boost the confidence of a child in need. Please be generous. Thank you!
