Spring Market

Spring Market Magic

"Then, the magic happens!" Barb Hosier's words reflecting on this year's incredible Spring Market. Not just in the record-breaking sales total ($11,357.47).  But in the unbelievable lines of customers at the check-out table, through the aisles, and outside the doors each morning. The racks of gorgeous clothes. Sparkling jewelry. Volumes of books. Linens spilling from baskets. Hats and shoes. Small appliances and accessories. More kitchen items and glassware than Ikea. Outdoor items for all pursuits. Truly, something for everyone – beautifully displayed and priced to sell.  Thank you, generous donors, for each one of these sale items. We must never again worry about having "enough" for our sales. Magic was felt, too, in all the laughter, visiting, live accordion music, and joyous transactions as customers gathered up their treasures and headed back to their homes – taking so much good-will with them, too.

Unsold items this year went to the Missoula Children’s Theater, the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes transitional housing program, Give Art to Missoula, and to Missoula Thrift (a part of Flathead Industries which provides vital services and support to individuals with disabilities across the state). Your donations thereby continue on to many, many others.

Special thanks to Beverley Sherman, who beautifully guided us, kept us focused, and shared in all the market's possibilities.  And, loving thanks to each one of you who helped make this magical event possible.
