Baptism and Confirmation

Holy Baptism

Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. Baptism takes place during the Easter Vigil service (Saturday evening, in March this year), and at a Sunday service about three times a year: the Day of Pentecost (at the end of May this year), the Sunday after All Saints' Day (early November), and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (first Sunday after Epiphany, in early January). Baptism may also take place when the bishop visits (in December this year) and on a Sunday during the summer on a date to be determined. If you are interested in Baptism for yourself or for your child, preparation needs to take place.

The remaining dates for baptism for this year are on a date in the summer yet to be determined, on the Sunday after All Saints' Day, November 3, and when the bishop visits (December 15). Please call the church office at (406) 542-2167 if you are interested in baptism at one of these times, either for yourself or for your child.

Confirmation

Confirmation classes are offered for youth (usually grades 7-8) in a two-year cycle. For adults who wish to be confirmed, we offer an Inquirers' Class. Please contact the Rev. Terri Ann Grotzinger about preparation for Confirmation. Confirmation takes place during a Sunday service at the time of the bishop's visitation, as scheduled by the diocesan office.
