Join us on Kickoff Sunday, September 8, at both services
Sunday September 8th is Kickoff Sunday. Join us as we celebrate Seeds of Hope at both our 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services. There has been so much change and growth around the church from the literal to the metaphorical. Of course, there has been all the courtyard construction and then our dear old Spirit Tree fell in the wind storm. And soon we hope to be thinking about the new growth that will happen there. But well before that we had Terri's sabbatical and then the implementation of the new Co-Rector model. And with all of these changes we have grown. We have learned about the strength of a more diverse leadership model. We have witnessed lay leaders step up in new ways and bloom. It has been energizing and exciting. And new seeds are spinning off those plants. We are poised to learn and grow even more, in deeper ways.
On Kickoff Sunday we will hear a "progress report" from a group of lay leaders summarizing the results of the changes we've been making. We will also have extra time to connect after worship with a light lunch provided in the parish hall and information tables for each of our ministry areas. It's a great day to come and learn about the life of the church and to consider new ways to become involved. Join us and plant some seeds of hope of your own.
