Here is the introductory article:

Dear Friends of Studer Trust,

It is my great pleasure to extend heartfelt greetings to the readers of the July newsletter of Studer Trust.

Allow me to update you on the current situation in Myanmar. Today, Myanmar faces a COVID catastrophe. Thousands of people are suffering and dying from lacking intensive care capacity, oxygen, and other medical supplies. Cemeteries are overflowing with COVID-19 related deaths. Myanmar's health care system has almost collapsed.

Many townships across the country still have imposed stay-at-home orders, and many places are locked down due to COVID-19 and the coup. New travel restrictions are introduced due to recent COVID-19 developments. The situation in Myanmar is worsening day by day.

With our small team in Myanmar, we are trying our best to keep the projects and programs rolling. The team is hoping that the current progress will not be affected by all these recent changes.

We are grateful for the support of many donors who are making our work possible.

Thanks to each and every one of you.

With warm regards,
Cho Cho Lwin
