If we're flipping the calendar to another new year, it's time to think again about donating socks, hats and gloves to needy residents of Missoula's Poverello Center, which provides shelter to the city's homeless and underserved population. A red-and-white-striped box with dangling socks and gloves will be ready to receive donations in the parish hall on Sunday, January 6, and will be available through Sunday, January 20. For each of the past three years, Holy Spirit parishioners have contributed more than 80 pounds of new and gently used socks, gloves, and hats. These donations have made a huge difference to the men and women who spend many hours in Missoula's cold and windy weather, according to the Pov's grateful outreach coordinator. Be sure to check out the post-holiday sales that many stores offer. Thanks in advance for your generosity!
