Montana International Choral Festival Guests With Us for July 20th Alms Sunday
The Montana International Choral Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting artistic excellence, global understanding, friendship, and goodwill through choral music. The Festival was founded in 1987 by Donald Carey, a Missoula choral conductor and music professor, who had been inspired by a similar Festival in Nancy, France in 1983. The first Festival engaged volunteers for housing and hosting choir members and welcoming attendees to a wide variety of performance venues - a model that continues to this day - with Holy Spirit parishioners as faithful choir hosts throughout the years. The Festival is now held every other year in Missoula, and over the years, has welcomed choirs from every continent except Antarctica. Our July 20th worship service will include music from Holy Spirit's hosted choir, the Estonia Radio Girls Choir. A special Alms Sunday offering will also be taken for the Festival at the service and through Holy Spirit online here. Come for the beautiful music and the opportunity to support!
