Thanksgiving Day Dinner set for November 23
Holy Spirit Parish will have its 2nd annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thursday 23 November. This is a day to give thanks for family and friends and all the blessings we have been bestowed. We ask each family to provide a dish to share that will feed between 8-12 people. Alice Dailey and I will be in the parish hall with sign-up sheets beginning on Sunday 5 November. You will sign up by category of what you are bringing, we will also be asking for your telephone number and email.
We will need turkeys of course, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes/yams, salad, veggies, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, and desserts. Water and juice will be provided. Wine is your option.
The front door will be open at 2:00 for time to visit with guests. We plan to eat at 3:00
We need a small crew to help set up the day before, a “strong” crew to receive food at the back door in the kitchen when arriving, a cleanup crew and a dishwashing crew.
Last year we had 25 attendees and this year we hope to see you there.
