Adopt-a-Need

Adopt-a-Need Is Back –
Helping Out At Holy Spirit

Take on an Adopt-a-Need project and make a difference at Holy Spirit.

You can lend a hand, join in to make a project happen, share your talents or, once in a while, write a check to give something important an extra boost.

This is Adopt-a-Need, a way to lift up the changing needs of our church community and our historic campus.

We invite you to support an Adopt-a-Need project, or to suggest something that you think needs some extra love. Here are some starter ideas:

  1. Share Your Talents
Do you get a charge out of putting social events together? Are you a skilled "do it yourself"-er who'd like an extra project or two? Maybe you're a marketing pro, with ideas and know-how to share. Let us know! Help Holy Spirit with what you do best.

  2. Summer Coffee Hours
Take the plunge and bring a contribution for our summer coffee hours. From donut holes to quiche Lorraine – everything's a hit at coffee hour.

  3. Give the Gift of a Nametag
The nametag fund supports new nametags for new people, and helps us build community. When you give to the nametag fund, a little goes a long way. (Each one costs under $10, often less depending on how many we order at a time.)

  4. Miking for the Choir
We're upgrading our sanctuary mics so the choir – as well as congregational singing – can be better heard in our streamed services and in the parish hall. If this is music to your ears, think about contributing to defray this one-time cost. The total price tag was $1,500 and any gift will help!

  5. Provide a Caring Breakfast Casserole
Support the summer program of Friends of the Children with a ready-to-freeze breakfast casserole that serves 10-15. The group's executive director, Ben Davis, attends Holy Spirit and has shared the group's mission with us on an Alms Sunday. To volunteer, write to James McConnell at Friends of the Children,  or call 406-531-1811.
