The support crew will be members who are willing to be on call if one of our members has questions or needs help with their computer, iPad, phone, Zoom connection, recording readings or songs for our service, etc.
You can specify the devices or applications or programs with which you are familiar. When a request for help comes in to the office, the staff will choose someone from the support group and connect them with the person needing assistance.
Needs Met with Generosity
Advent Wreath Kits
Materials for parishioners to make their own advent wreaths were assembled into kits and then distributed in the church courtyard so we could keep this tradition going in the year of COVID.
The Courtyard Decorated for Christmas
Since we were not able to meet inside the church this year, we wanted to bring the Christmas Spirit outdoors to bring cheer to people passing by Holy Spirit. Lights were donated and installed in the courtyard bushes, around the sign and doors. Also to share the stained glass of our windows a volunteer came by each evening to turn on the sanctuary lights and then later to turn them off.
New Mics and Adapters
Two wireless, omnidirectional mics and adapters were purchased so we now are able to mic more than one person at a time. This has enhanced many of our ministries and programs have come to rely on virtual gatherings via Zoom, Facebook, Email, etc. The mics and adapters are also available to loan to members who are recording their contributions to a service.
Our Church Gardens Tended
Time was devoted to improving the appearance of the church gardens around the building and the parking lot. And, as always, there will be more to do come spring and the summer.
