Climate Change: Why People of Faith Should be Engaged, and How We Can Make a Difference  Monday, November 16, 7 pm in the UC Theater, University of Montana

In the lead up to the major United Nations climate change conference in Paris in December, join faith and community leaders for a conversation about religious and ethical motivations for engagement on climate change. Speakers will include Rev. Joseph Carver, pastor at St. Francis Xavier Church; Dan Spencer, author of the forthcoming book “Earth Ethics”; Len Broberg, professor of Environmental Studies; and Caroline Lauer of Climate Smart Missoula. Speakers will discuss the global context of the Paris talks, faith perspectives on climate action, and practical ways to get involved in your own community. Come be part of the momentum that’s building and learn how people of faith can be empowered to make a difference together.

High school Youth Event! Sunday, Nov. 22, 5-8pm at First Presbyterian Church.
“Faith Beyond…” high school, your parents’ house, and your hometown with students from UM and Campus Pastor John Lund. Also: camp-style worship service, a service project making lunches and cards for Missoula’s homeless and homebound, and a FREE HOMEMADE DINNER! So join us for a great night where you can ask college students whatever questions you might have about post-high school life and help out your community!
