Youth Group December News
December 4, 2013
To our Parish Family:
Thank you so much for all your support of our annual pumpkin bread sale. We do periodic fund raising so that everyone who comes to Youth Group need not worry about anything financial. The Youth Group focuses on a philanthropic project each year, events that benefit our Parish Family and gatherings that help further our relationships with one and other and nature. So again thank you, thank you for supporting your Youth Group.
As you all might know we were a hit at the Western Humane Society once again. We volunteered for a Saturday in November. We were very lucky as a great many dogs had just arrived at the shelter from California. They all were so very cute. We helped with dishes, filled Kongs, filled bags of food for dogs whose masters are homeless, and helped acclimate new kittens.
This month on December 15th we are offering childcare for the parish. This gives busy parents a chance to shop or just spend some holiday time together. The Youth Group offers a lunch of macaroni and cheese, carrot sticks and Christmas cookies. We will watch a movie. This will occur after the 10:15 service. Parents can pick up their children around 2:00pm. There will be a free will offering for the Youth Group fund.
The Youth Group would like to wish to all our Parish Family a joyous and beautiful Holiday Season. Remember anyone who is in the grades 6 to 12 is welcome. We meet almost every third Sunday of the month September through May. We firmly believe “the more the merrier." So come join us!!
