Ways to give
Your Bank's Online Bill-Pay Service
Setting up Online Bill Pay is an easy process. While every bank is different, the majority of banks have a “Payments” tab to click on. Then click “pay bills” or “add payee.” Next, you will simply enter Holy Spirit Episcopal Church’s information. Our address is 130 South Sixth Street East, Missoula, MT 59801. Once you have entered that information, you can either give your gift by using the pay bill option (usually this is a one-time payment) or the repeating payment option. If you have trouble, the FAQ section of the bank’s website typically has helpful instructions.
In Person
Cash or check can be placed in the offering plates during worship services every Sunday. To receive credit for cash donations, an envelope with the donor’s name noted is required. Alternately, you can mail your gifts to the church office or drop them by the office during regular office hours.
Stock Contributions
Transfer of Stock and Mutual Funds from Donor’s Broker Directly to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church’s Broker: This can be done without coming into the Church office. All you will need to do is complete the attached “Stock Donation Form” and fax it or mail it to your broker. Be sure to fax, email or mail a copy to the Church office of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. Without notification to us, we will be unable to identify the donor of the stock received. [Fax: (406) 542-2982, Email: , Or by mail: 130 South Sixth Street East, Missoula, MT 59801]
Giving Directly from your IRA
Individuals who are required to receive Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) from the IRA account(s) may direct all or a portion of their annual RMD to be sent directly to the church by contacting the Administration of the IRA account(s). If you are more than 70½ years of age, it may be possible for the direct payment to exceed the RMD amount, but not more than $100,000 per year. Contact your IRA Administrator for the information they require to make the direct distribution payment to the church.
Your financial support and generosity provide the foundation for Holy Spirit

A Tax-Saving Way to Give to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church
If you are 70½ years or older, you have Minimum Required Distributions that you must meet each year. Because of this, you can now take advantage of a simple way to benefit Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church without having to pay income taxes on the money. Distributed amounts may be excluded from the IRA owner’s income – resulting in lower taxable income for you!
Why consider this gift?
- You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
- If you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the year, your IRA charitable rollover gift can satisfy all or part of that requirement.
