March 27th Alms Sunday features The Parenting Place
The Parenting Place is a community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is the prevention of child abuse and neglect through strenghtening families. Their programs will come to life for us on March 27th, when we welcome Ivy Anderson, their Program Director and Family Education Specialist, and your special gifts at the worship service and online through our website and giving app.
The Parenting Place also has a handful of community-awareness events taking place throughout April Awareness Month:
- April 5 - Community Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) training - 5:30-7 pm, Missoula Food Bank & Community Center
- April 7, 14, and 28 - Missoula Exchange Club luncheon presentations - noon-1 pm, Jaker's (7 and 28) and the Missoula Public Library (14)
- April 18 - Films "Resilience" and "Healing Neen" - 4-7 pm, Roxy Theater
- April/May - Parenting Place facilities work parties
