Bishop's Search Updates

From the Transition Committee – April 2019

The committee met in Helena Tues 26 Mar – seven present and one by telephone connection to review the work of our subcommittees to date.

Walkabout Committee has firmed up daily schedules for candidates around the state at five locations to oversee travel, assistants, meals, lodging, gatherings for both clergy and people in mid-July.

Election Convention Committee is coordinating places, logistics, events, electors and delegates, and people to guide the Special Election with the balloting to choose our new bishop and in our annual Diocesan Convention in Bozeman the last weekend of July.

Ordination Committee has secured sacred space and is working mightily on hospitality extended to all attendees including bishops and people from throughout our Episcopal lands, including the presence of our Presiding Bishop Michael Curry.

Communications Committee continues the monthly postings for parishes and in the diocesan newsletter.   We are asking members of our diocese to submit questions to be addressed to the candidates at the Walkabout forums.  Send your question to Jill Sallin
