Standing Committee

Safeguarding Policies -- Why do we need them?

Some of you might know that the Standing Committee submitted a resolution which was passed at the last Diocese of Montana Convention. This resolution modified the canons to prescribe and standardize the requirements and frequency required for background checks and Safeguarding Training Courses for lay and ordained ministers working with adults, and also those who work with children.

This article will discuss the course "Safeguarding God's Children," and we will talk about its companion course "Safeguarding God's People" in later articles.
